The EU AI Act is the world's first comprehensive, legally binding regulation for AI. It is being enforced via a phased approach, as shown below on the timeline. What the Act asks of businesses in order to be compliant is incredibly stringent, that's why we're here to take that burden off your shoulders.

About Us
Our Journey
Kathryn and Emily met in 2025 at Trinity College, studying their MSc in Entrepreneurship. After watching each other pitch in a class competition, they realised they were exploring similar ideas around AI and regulation.
They decided to meet for a coffee.
Kathryn has a background in business and, having worked for SMEs, realised there was a complete mismatch between what the Act asks businesses to do at a high level and what they actually can do in practice. This unfairly burdens a business, especially when most don't have dedicated compliance teams.
Emily has a background in law, and felt frustrated that the infrastructure for implementing the EU AI Act is not where it should be. The Act is confusing, and there is no practical guidance on what compliance looks like at an accessible price point.
What began as a conversation over coffee became a shared research project, and eventually they co-founded Nora Comply!
